Summer Camps
All of Cairn's camp programs are designed for campers to experience God's love in an inclusive faith community while fostering growth and creating connections throughout their time at camp.
Cairn’s four programs - Glen Mhor, Iona Canoe Tripping, Integration and Leader in Training - provide unique opportunities for exploration, challenge, connection, and growth.
We believe the experience and learning taken from these programs will develop campers into well-rounded future global citizens.
-
A unit-based program, campers participate in camp activities with their cabin group, comprised of up to 8 campers and 2 counsellors. Campers participate in a variety of waterfront, adventure, arts, and nature activities, as well as special themed events based on the theme of the week's session.
-
A wilderness canoe tripping program for campers with all levels of experience, facilitated by a Head Tripper and Trip Counsellor. Campers learn a variety of tripping skills, including canoeing, portaging, cooking over a fire, and setting up a campsite, all while participating in creative and imaginative play, immersed in the natural surroundings of Ontario's backcountry.
-
An opportunity for campers living with disabilities to experience the joy and community of summer camp. Participants are partnered with a 1:1 support counsellor who promotes inclusion within their cabin, and provides for any additional needs the camper may have.
-
A four-week leadership program for 16-17 year olds, designed to create intentional, empathetic leaders. LITs learn how to serve those they lead, refining skills they already possess while identifying and enhancing new areas of growth. Participants come away with both knowledge and experience of how to be both an effective camp staff member and leader in their community at home.
Registering for Multiple Weeks
Yes, campers ARE welcome to come to camp for more than one week! If you would like to register your camper for multiple back-to-back sessions, you can add an Additional Overnight Stay to their registration for $100+HST, and they will stay at camp from the Saturday to Sunday between sessions. Over the weekend, campers will have a relaxing day at camp with a small group of campers and staff: they have an extended rest hour, get their laundry done, and enjoy some favourite camp activities.
Flexible Pricing
Cairn has adopted a flexible pricing model, providing 3 cost choices for all of our camp sessions. Every family can choose the level of payment that is right for their situation. The option you select in no way affects your campers experience at Cairn.

2025 Summer Camp Schedule
-
Option A: $1,510 | Option B: $1,600 | Option C: $1,690
We are pleased to share that the Leader in Training program is being offered at a subsidized rate, thanks to the generosity of the Jean Wansbrough Leadership Training Fund. Originally with LIT costing between Option A: $1,760, Option B: $1,850, and Option C: $1,940, the JWLT fund allows us to offer LIT at $250 less per participant! We are so grateful to the JWLT fund for making this happen.
Cairn’s Leader in Training program develops extraordinary leaders in today’s world.
The LIT program is a four-week opportunity for 16-17 year olds to explore how they can use their skills to be a more effective leader at camp and in their everyday life.
These young leaders will build community on a five day canoe trip, develop swimming skills to attain Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross qualifications, and learn through activities designed to develop their practical leadership skills.
LITs have the opportunity to shadow a variety of camp staff positions to learn about site & facilities, kitchen, and counselling roles at camp. Throughout the four-week program, the LITs will participate in sessions that their LIT Program Coordinators design for their unique group to help them become effective leaders individually and as a collective. LITs often return as camp staff the following year, and leave the LIT program with lifelong connections and friendships.
