In Memorial

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that on Thursday, March 11, 2010, Larry Joubert, the husband of our long time and treasured camp nurse, Lynn Joubert, passed away. Larry died of a heart attack in their Fergus, Ontario home.

Lynn has been a staple at Cairn for a number of years now and her husband, Larry, has always been very supportive of camp. Lynn and Larry have two sons and a daughter, Katrina, who has also attended Cairn for a number of years.

We ask that you send out your prayers for Lynn and her family during this difficult time. Now, more than ever, they will need the support of this camping community. Please ask God to comfort them, guide them and place His hand of peace upon them.

A visitation is tentatively scheduled for this coming Monday, March 15 in Fergus, ON, and the funeral will most likely be held on Tuesday, March 16 in Elmira, ON. We will keep you updated on these dates and times.

Lynn has asked that, in lieu of flowers or gifts, money be donated to Cairn’s Campership Fund to help send children to camp. We have just learned that this was Larry’s wish, and we could not be more honoured. Donations can be made by clicking here to get to our CanadaHelps webpage. Please leave the designation as “Campership” and be sure to dedicate your donation in memory of Larry Joubert by clicking that option near the bottom of the page.
