Week 1: June 30 - July 6, 2019

GM 1: Colour Games (7-16)

Come one, come all, to the 2019 Colour Games! Once again, the Red Dragons and the Blue Knights will compete in games of sport, logic, art, and nature to find out who the new reigning champions will be. Colour Games campers will get to experience all of the traditional Glen Mhor activities along with 2 full-to-the-max-fun days of Colour Games! At some point during the week, Colour Games will break, at which point each camper will be appointed either a Blue Knight or a Red Dragon, and represent their team in a variety of competitions. Campers will participate in events like Cairn gladiator, Iron Chef, dance, canoe relays, and so much more. Colour Games campers will come together within their colour teams, all the while learning the value of friendly competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Campers, bring your blue and red clothing, and get ready to show your Colour Games spirit! The Red Dragons claimed the title to rule the kingdom last year – who will it be this year? Fees

Week 2: July 7-13, 2019

GM 2: Outrageous (7-15)

How do you describe a camp that is truly indescribable? Well, the best that we can do is tell you that it’s a week unlike any other! In previous years, Outrageous camp has seen themed meals, like a pajama meal, supersize meal, and a wacky hair meal; a camp-wide backwards day; and a truly outrageous messy afternoon that featured paint, whipped cream, and slime. Campers also have the chance to put their outrageous ideas forward and have them drawn randomly over the week. One thing is for sure, that along with some of the traditional activities that you know and love about camp, things are sure to get OUTRAGEOUS! Fees

GM 3: Anything Goes (13-16)

What would you do if you could do ANYTHING at camp? Well for one week only, teen campers will be able to push the limits of what a week at camp can look like. Campers will decide their activities, schedules, and everything in between. From breakfast in bed to midnight adventures, it’s a whole new world of possibilities. Unprecedented freedom and all of the traditional Glen Mhor activities equals an amazing week of camp. Join us at Anything Goes and design your very own camp experience. Fees

IONA 1: Trailblazers (8-13)

A week-long adventure at Iona - discover new spots, try new activities, and blaze new trails! From sleeping under the stars to a picnic on the water – campers will set off to unexplored territory on both land and water! Campers will get to discover all that Iona has to offer including a 24-hour canoe trip to explore the Muskoka River. All of Iona is just waiting to be explored so join us at Trailblazers and lead the way to adventure! Fees

TRIP 1: White Water (11-14)

Ready for a rockin’ river trip? Our whitewater canoe trips take campers on a 5-day backcountry trip through class 1 and 2 rapids. Campers will be refreshed on basic canoe techniques and rescues and learn about trip packing, site setup and new white water canoeing skills. Our tripping staff will teach campers not only the skills that they need to know for trips at camp, but will be able to give them information about how far the world of tripping can go! See you on the water! Fees

Week 3: July 14-20, 2019

GM 4: Glen Mhor Camp Classic (7-15)

Come spend a week in the beauty of God’s creation having fun, learning new skills, and making lifelong friends! Campers will spend the week having a classic Glen Mhor experience – participating in camp activities with their cabin-mates like archery, high ropes, swimming, canoeing, music & drama, arts & crafts, kayaking, and more! They also come together with the whole camp at Mhorning Has Broken to start the day together, swim in the lake every day at Free Swim, play a daily camp-wide game, and close the night together at campfire. A week at Glen Mhor Classic is waiting for you! Fees

GM 5: PIF (13-16)

Ready to change the world by Paying It Forward? Well we have the perfect place to start. Spend a week not only learning about servanthood, but practicing it. As a Pay it Forward camper you will start changing the world, little by little, from the second you arrive. Whether it’s a work project around camp, volunteering at local spots around Muskoka, learning about various charities, or singing at a retirement home, PIFs have the chance to practice true servant leadership in so many ways. Throughout the week, PIFs earn between 25 and 30 community service hours that can be put towards their high school diploma requirements. Pay it Forward is an amazing opportunity to experience camp in a whole different way. PIF is about giving back and making an impact with that familiar camp spirit. We can’t wait to see you there! IONA 2: Freedom Camp (8-13)

What would you do if you could do ANYTHING at Iona? Well for one week only, Freedom Camp will let you find out. Campers will work together in a democratic way to decide their activities, schedules, and everything in between. From building rafts to sleeping under a parachute fort, it’s a whole new world of possibilities. Along with unprecedented freedom and all of the traditional Iona activities, campers will get the chance to participate in a 24-hour canoe trip down the Muskoka River. Freedom camp allows campers to explore and experience wilderness living in a way they have never done before while designing their very own camp experience. Fees

TRIP 2: Flat Water (13-16)

Calling all canoeing enthusiasts! Our flatwater canoe trips are a great way to gain some canoe tripping skills on flatwater. This trip takes campers through the famously beautiful lakes and scenery of the Ontario wilderness. Campers will learn basic canoe techniques and rescues, how to pack food and other necessities for an out-trip, how to set up camp and how to cook food over a fire, all while experiencing a close-knit trip community. This is the perfect opportunity to play, learn, gain skills and experience God’s creation in the Ontarian wilderness. Fees

GM 6: Legends of the Land (7-16)

Have you heard the legend? Join us at Legends of the Land this summer and be a part of the tale! Campers will get to experience all of the traditional Glen Mhor activities and also participate in a multi-day camp wide competition! Campers will be divided into teams and compete in a variety of individual and team events, all with the goal of leading their team to victory. Campers will experience bonding within their team all while learning the value of friendly competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork. From archery to Giant Jenga and everything in between campers will use skills, talents, and luck to rule the land. Bring your team spirit to the first ever Legends of the Land! Fees

GM 7: Pre-LIT (Age 15) - 10-day program July 21-31

Looking to hone your leadership skills? Want to get a taste for camp leadership and the variety of skills that it involves? This two week session is made especially for those campers who hope to one day continue in our Leaders in Training (LIT) program at Cairn, or for those who are interested in growing as leaders in today’s world. Pre-LIT will give our campers the opportunity to take risks and test new boundaries by learning hands-on about leadership skills and teamwork through initiatives, activities and workshops. For any budding leader interested in taking responsibility at school, at work, at church, at camp or in the community, this is a perfect opportunity to bring together leadership, confidence and fun. IONA 3: The Brotherhood (8-15)

The Iona Brotherhood is back! If you’ve never heard of the Brotherhood, legend tells a story of boys and young men coming together to look out for one another while they seek adventure, pursue quests, and complete skill-building tasks, all while learning how to work cooperatively and build empathy in the wonder of God’s creation. Skill-based knowledge and leadership is passed on from experienced staff and campers, to the brand new campers who come to the Brotherhood for the first time. All Campers will grow together both on site at Iona and taking a 24-hour trip down the Muskoka River. Our goal is to help boys to find themselves at camp so they can be themselves at home. If your camper would like the chance to reconnect with nature and build lifelong friendships, then we invite them to join the Iona Brotherhood this year at camp. Fees

GM 8: Pee Wee (5-7)

Got some young ones itching to come to camp for the first time? There is no better place to be a kid than at Pee Wee Camp! Everything is specifically designed to ensure that our smallest and newest campers have an outstanding experience. They will swim, dance, play, sing, run, create, and even canoe to a nearby island for a special out-lunch. Everything is tailored to suit their age and size, from ultra kid-friendly meals, to an extremely high staff-to-camper ratio. Our staff are specially trained to work with this younger age group and can’t wait to make your Pee Wee’s experience one they will never forget. We can’t wait to be a part of your child’s first camp experience! Fees

GM 9: Check It Out (7-13)

Brand new this year is our Check It Out session! In this 4-day, 3-night session campers will get to ‘check out’ what camp is all about. Designed specifically to give campers a taste of all that camp has to offer this shortened session is a perfect introduction to camp for kids of all ages. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in all of the classic Glen Mhor activities like canoeing, kayaking, camp-wide games, climbing wall, campfire, high ropes, arts & crafts, archery, music & drama, swimming, and more! Give your camper a bite-sized version of camp that introduces them to the joys of community living and experiencing the wonders of God’s creation. Fees

IONA 4: Junior Adventurers (7-9)

Looking for a wilderness adventure this summer? Join us at Junior Adventurers! In this introduction to Iona, we will romp-stomp around in the woods, find frogs, run until we are tired and go on an overnight to the Echo Lake Island.  A wonderful way for any child to have a fantastic introduction to camping in the great outdoors, while experiencing the beauty of God’s creation, adventuring with new friends and building new skills! It will be a busy couple of days but will certainly be an experience to be remembered. Register your junior camper for this great outdoor adventure! Fees


AUGUST LONG WEEKEND: AUGUST 2-5 2019

GM 10: Family Camp

Come on out to Family Camp, a great way for everyone in the family to try camp together! Our Family Camp weekend is for any age (we’ve had infants up to octogenarians!) and includes all your meals and full days of great camp activities. Families have the option to rent a cabin at an additional cost, or bring a tent or trailer of your own. You can travel to activities as a family, or individually. We’ll have a theme that spans the weekend that will involve staff members dressed as silly characters and theme-related activities. Plus, we’ll have special kids-only (and grown-ups-only) activities throughout the weekend. Finally, family camp is the opportunity to share in faith and fellowship with other families who love camp, community and spending time in the beautiful Muskokas for the long-weekend! Join us for this unique family getaway! Fees

Week 6: August 5-10, 2019

GM 11: Choose Your Own Adventure (7-16) - 2-week program August 5-17

What do you love to do at camp? Join us at Choose Your Own Adventure and do what you love everyday! From boating to guitar to arts, campers will have the chance to choose two specialties to focus on throughout their time at camp. In this brand new two week session campers will get to experience all of the classic Glen Mhor activities like archery and high ropes while learning new skills in their areas of choice. As if that wasn’t enough, campers will have the chance to go on a 24-hour overnight! Double the time double the fun – see you at Choose Your Own Adventure! Fees

Week 7: August 11-17, 2019

GM 13: Teen Week (13-16)

A week of “no-holds-barred” teen sized awesomeness. Teen week is designed especially for our oldest campers and features a pushed back schedule, exhilarating evening camp-wide games, daily social hour, and late night bedtimes. Along with all of the typical Glen Mhor activities, campers will also experience some Teen Week exclusive traditions like the week-long Cat Cup spirit competition, Coffee House, our giant Burn-BIG-Burn bonfire, and so much more. Come experience a week full of ridiculous cabin competitions, amazing activities, incredible moments and fantastic friendships. Fees

IONA 5: Adventure Camp (12-16) - 2-week program August 11-24

Adventure Camp is ready for enthusiastic and outdoor adventure-loving campers! During this two-week camp, campers will take part in skills-based programming that will develop their aptitude and offer opportunities for exploration and discovery in four camp areas: outdoor living skills (like shelter and fire building), adventure programming (climbing and belaying), waterfront skills (kayaking and canoeing) and canoe tripping. Campers will be based out of Iona, and will spend time at Iona, Glen Mhor and on a canoe trip. This camp also includes a 2-day canoe trip away from base camp. Adventure Camp will allow teens to explore and master a variety of skills while developing an appreciation for time well-spent in nature. Let the adventure begin! Fees

WEEK 8: AUGUST 18-24 2019

GM 14: MAD2 – Music, Arts, Dance, & Drama (7-16)

Ready to be the next Picasso? Star on Broadway? Or maybe even write a top 40 hit? Unleash your inner artist this summer at MAD² Camp, a full week camp that is devoted to Music, Art, Dance and Drama. MAD² campers will get to experience the traditional Glen Mhor activities along with specialty arts-based programming. Campers can choose between a variety of disciplines like dance, singing, set design, prop-making, acting, guitar, stomp, fine arts, and so much more. Throughout the week MAD² campers will not just improve their own skill but will work to put on a culminating performance that will be presented to friends and family on closing day. Be prepared to be wowed because the final production is sure to be a masterpiece! Sign up for MAD² camp and let your inner artist out! Fees

GM 15: Ultimate Survival (7-16)

Spend a week at Glen Mhor exploring the forest, and practicing survival skills! Campers will explore a variety of survival activities, which could include anything from exploration, navigation and orienteering, bush crafting, fort building, fire building, cooking over a fire, or whittling. As well as survival skills time, survival tasks will be issued to the cabin groups periodically throughout the week, creating a mix of team-based and individual challenges. Finally, each camper will be able to share their newly developed skills with their cabin group when they come together for an on-site overnight camp-out. It’ll be a week of adventurous exploration, conquered challenges, and wilderness fun. Fees

Leader in Training Program

August LIT: July 28 - August 23 2019

Cairn’s Leader in Training program develops extraordinary leaders in today’s world. LITs will spend a month together learning the ins and outs of both how to be an effective camp counsellor, and what it takes to be a leader and make positive changes to the world beyond camp. These young leaders will build community on a five day canoe trip, develop swimming skills to attain Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross qualifications, or alternatively develop canoeing skills, work in a cabin with children, and participate in sessions designed for their unique group to help them become effective leaders. LITs look back at this experience as an amazing month full of fun, faith and friendship. Fees
